Our music

St. John's has recently become a parish church in its own right, and as well as continuing the long tradition of music in worship, we hope to increase the scope of our involvement in "outside" musical activities, such as concerts and recitals.

We now have our new Phoenix organ, thanks to the generosity of contributors.

The instrument has been built specially for us by Phoenix Organs, and is voiced to suit the acoustics of our building, with speakers arranged to give the best effect.

For more information on Phoenix Organs, visit www.phoenix-organs.co.uk

We have a regular, mixed group of twenty children and adults, who lead our services each Sunday.

Choir practice is in church every Friday:

Juniors 6:45pm to 8:30pm
Adults 7:45pm to 9:00pm

Come and join us; recent research has shown that singing in a choir is good for lifting the spirits, relives stress, boosts endorphins and enhances the immune system! (Source: University of California)

We sing for enjoyment, friendliness and worship; there are no auditions, and Simon Cowell is definitely not here!

Contact Organist & Choirmaster Robert Fergusson on 01282 775432.

We also have a group of young musicians, who help lead the family service, held on the last Sunday of each month.
